Royal British Columbia Museum | Royal Ontario Museum | Museum of Civilization | Glen Bow Museum

The Glenbow Museum is a great place to learn about the history, culture and development of Alberta. With a complete sample of periods throughout the life of the province from earliest aboriginal settlement to modern times, you can easily spend an entire day in the museum.

The third floor of the museum is the Gem of the visit in that is represents the native culture of the Blackfoot Indians and the arrival, settlement and growth of the settlers who gave birth to Calgary and the society of modern day Alberta.

Other permanent exhibits include a great geological tour of the minerals of Canada and the world and a history of warfare exhibit.

Located in the heart of downtown Calgary, the Glenbow is a great spot to start your discovery of the Western Prairie region of Canada.
